IPW SWEATSHOP
More Than A Fed — We’re a Family
IPW isn’t just a place to learn wrestling. It’s a home for people who love this business, no matter who you are or where you come from.
Founded by the late Peter Ball, a true pioneer of Australian wrestling, IPW is built on a legacy of toughness, dedication, and passion. Today, that legacy lives on through Josh Ives, and through every single person who steps through our doors.
Here, we train together, support each other, and grow as performers, and as people. That’s what makes this more than just a school. This is family.

WRESTLER TRAINING
In-ring technique, psychology, bumping, character work, promos, and match prep.

BEHIND THE SCENES

We Train People, Not Just Wrestlers.
Whether you’re brand new or have some experience, we’ll meet you where you’re at.
We proudly welcome all genders, all sexualities, all backgrounds, and all abilities.
If you’ve got passion, we’ve got the tools to help you succeed — and a team that will support you the whole way.
Meet The Team

Josh Ives
Head Trainer & IPW Owner
Josh Ives started training in 2008 and has spent every year since fully immersed in professional wrestling. Known as the Big Man of Wrestling, he brings over a decade of in-ring experience and a deep understanding of the business that few can match.
He’s passionate about helping others grow and takes pride in creating a space where people of all backgrounds feel welcome. Josh is committed to fostering the next generation of wrestlers by building a training environment that’s safe, inclusive, and built on respect.
At IPW, Josh leads with experience, patience, and purpose.

Chad Atlas
Trainer
Trained by IPW’s own Josh Ives, Chad Atlas has gone on to compete all across Australia and internationally, building a solid track record and sharpening his craft in rings across the globe.
Chad brings a unique mix of experience, energy, and high standards to IPW’s training team. He’s walked the road from student to star, and now he’s here to help the next generation carve out their own path.

Jackson Rush
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Jackson Rush is a qualified personal trainer and the owner of Sanctum Strength — the gym IPW calls home. He runs targeted strength and conditioning sessions designed to improve body composition, general fitness, and in-ring performance.
Whether you're training to wrestle or just want to level up, Jackson knows how to get results. At IPW, he doesn’t just build bodies. He builds athletes.

Peter Ball (Legacy)
IPW Founder (1946–2019)
Trained by King Curtis and a standout in the NZ scene, Peter was more than just a wrestler, he was a mentor, stuntman, and visionary. Though he passed in 2014, his legacy lives on in every match we train and every story we tell.
